L'Opéra

This French Opera house opened in 1934 by a French foreigner learning about Japanese customs and introducing Western culture. After he left, the Opera was abandoned until 1982; it reopened with the help of Yuugiri’s locals. Now citizens of the city can enjoy both modern and traditional Japanese opera as well as some from other countries around the world. Although, it is a little pricey to get in and remember to be well dressed!
