Kouhei was at school all day, he was studying the nervous systems of the human body. This all fascinated him, yes, but for some reason that day he was very tired. The night before he was studying the history of poison out of boredom, it was not his fault that random things sparked his interest.
When the day was done at four o'clock, he decided to go to a classmates party. It wasn't those lame drinking parties, but it was a sophisticated party filled with all the rich kids from the school. The host had specifically asked Kouhei to come along since he was the most richest of them all. Kouhei sat at the party bored out of his mind. He didn;t even know why he went in the first place. He, at first, thought it would be enjoyable since it was a party and he could brag all he wanted. But it didn't turn out that way. They all asked him questions, some too personal to answer. They only bothered asking him questions and even paying him any attention because they never talked to him in class or out of school. All the rich kids were friends, however, Kouhei wa not interested in being included in this so-called "clique".
It seemed to be about ten o'clock when the party ended. Kouhei was extremely tired, but decided not to go home incase family was there. He didn't want to be bombarded with constant questions of how he was doing. Quite frankly, it wasn;t a matter of how well he was doing, but more so Mimiko. She had to grow up well. In fact, Kouhe iwould drop school entirely to raise her, but since he had his servants to watch over her, he found no reason to bother. He often pondered thought of whether Mimiko needed a mother figure in her life.
Kouhei spent many hours wandereing the streets of Yuugiri. Oh how he wished to visit Greece again. There was some sort of Greek festival going on, Kouhei had stopped there to eat Greek food and drink some wine. He had already had wine earlier. Who ever said Kouhei was in fault when wine tasted so good?
Hours passed rather slowly, but it was already one in the morning, Kouhei was at home. It was dark outside, it disturbed Kouhei greatly. He wondered if his daughter was asleep, sh e probably was. Kouhei would have smacked the srvants if she was awake. The young girl needed her sleep, sleep is crucial to humans. Not gettingenough sleep has it's very own side effects and consequences. He wanteed his daughter to get into a habit of sleeping early. Kouhei noted to himself that he would make the servants teach Mimiko piano, reading, and writing in Japanese.
The young man flopped on to his bed, without even checking Mimiko before doing so. He;d see her in the morining. After thinking about his wife, he got up and walked to her room, kissing his daughter her cheek, he felt at peace. He fell asleep on the floor of her room, too lazy to go to his.
Six o'clock already. Six hours of sleep. He wanted his daughter to get sleep, but not even himself. "What a pain..." Kouhei grunted in annoyance as he flipped the pancakes in the kitchen. Normally he would make the servants fix Mimiko and himself something. He felt like cooking for once, he didn't like the way they made the pancakes so big. He ahd put fruits and wild berries in the pancakes to add flavour. He looked at the table where he had set it for only two people. He heard a knock at the kitchen door. "Who is it?" He said loudly.
"Don't tell me you didn't notice me when you walked into the manor..."
Kouhei thought that that voice did not belong to either Mimiko or the servants, he spun his head around to see Uncle Oskar. "What are you doing here?" He bitterly and bluntly spat.
